“Through Chaos, Comes Opportunity”
Construction projects never go exactly as planned — and that’s where this site comes in. I created Chaos in Construction as a platform to explore the unpredictable realities of the construction industry and to offer real-world construction management strategies to those navigating it every day. My background includes years of experience serving as an Owner’s Representative managing capital projects in public utility infrastructure, commercial development, and complex renovation environments. I’ve led teams, interpreted designs, resolved conflicts, and kept operations moving when schedules slip and chaos threatens to take over. I also teach part-time in Construction Engineering Technology, which gives me a front-row seat to how theory meets reality in the next generation of builders.
Why This Matters
Construction is getting harder—not because we forgot how to build, but because we’ve lost how to manage. Communication gaps, bloated approval chains, unrealistic deadlines, and siloed teams are now the norm.
And yet, projects still need to be built.
That’s why this site exists:
To give project leaders, construction managers, and field supervisors tools they can actually use.
No fluff. No theory for theory’s sake. Just tactics, templates, mindset shifts, and true stories from the jobsite. If it doesn’t help you do your job better, it doesn’t belong here.
You don’t need to be perfect—you need to be prepared.
About the Creator
Hi—I’m Nick Parisi, a certified construction manager, scheduling professional, and the guy people call when the job is off the rails.
I’ve spent the last 20 years managing infrastructure projects, resolving change orders, building and teaching CPM schedules, and leading capital programs with multiple supervisors and millions on the line. I’ve taught construction scheduling at the college level, negotiated with contractors on the edge of claim territory, and helped field teams navigate the gray areas between spec, schedule, and reality.
I built this platform because I saw a gap between the way we should manage chaos—and the way most teams actually do. I’m an army of one right now, but this will become a team. This philosophy will catch on. Together, we will conquer chaos!
This site is for you if:
You manage projects, lead teams, or supervise the field
You’ve lost hours chasing down answers buried in silos
You’ve stared at a logic diagram trying to spot the ripple point
You want to own the chaos—not get buried by it
This is Construction Chaos Theory. Welcome to the movement.
